This institution provides a therapeutic alternative to stop Retinitis Pigmentosa that is based on the accumulated experience and research carried out, over several years, by a group of specialists led by the eminent Cuban scientist, recognized nationally and internationally, Professor Doctor Orfilio Peláez Molina (1923-2001).
The work verticalized by them towards the study of Retinitis Pigmentosa would be the genesis of the Cuban Society of Retinitis Pigmentosa.
