INFORMATION TO THE TRAVELER ABOUT TRAVEL INSURANCE TO ENTER CUBA
As of May 1, 2010, the Cuban authorities require entry to the country to have travel insurance with medical expenses coverage.
The traveler can purchase such insurance in his country of origin, prior to the trip, or he can purchase it upon arrival in Cuba, at the point of entry to the country.
In the latter case (purchase in Cuba, upon arrival), the options that the traveler will have are:

ONLY FOR INSURANCE ACQUIRED IN DESTINATION (in Cuba)
Travelers who intend to participate in sports competitions or practice high-risk sports (mountaineering, diving, skydiving, etc.), must pay, in addition to the ordinary premium, an extra premium of 2.00 USD per day, also for those over 70 years of age. they must pay an extra premium of 2.00 USD per day.
