GENERAL ASPECTS OF PAYMENT FOR MEDICAL STUDIES IN CUBA
- The costs for transfers, transactions and commissions associated with the operation in favor of Comercializadora de Servicios Médicos Cubanos, S.A. for the payment of the agreed academic activity, will be fully assumed by each student, so that CSMC receives the corresponding amount, free of surcharges and other discounts that may apply.
- The prices are established in USD. The equivalent of the value in USD must be transferred in one of the international currencies such as euros, Canadian dollars, pounds sterling or others. Bank transfers in US dollars are not allowed.
Money transfers must specify the name of the student to whom the payment is intended.
- The intermediary or correspondent bank is in correspondence with the bank from which the transfer is made, which can be made by any payer, always indicating in the reference the University of Medical Sciences (UCM) where the student will receive the academic services, with his or her name and surname, as well as the specific activity.
- All services we offer are prepaid. The client is required to present proof of payment at the time of registration, which must be previously certified by the Cuban Medical Services branch that corresponds to the university.
Cash payments are not accepted.
- A discount of up to three percent (3%) of the value of the academic year is authorized if full payment is made before starting the academic course for training studies.
- Payments must specify the full name of the student to whom the payment is intended, as well as the university of study and the academic service being paid for.
- The frequency of payment is annual, before the beginning of the academic services and in full or in installments.
The legalization of documents at MINREX for use abroad is not included in the tuition payments, it will be done personally by the student and paying the full cost.
- Once the registration is made official, a contract will be signed between the student, the university and the corresponding branch of the Cuban Medical Services Marketing Company. If the student does not attend the agreed academic services, 10% of the agreed amount will be deducted.
- If the student falls behind in the development of the execution of his academic program, for reasons not attributable to the institution, he may submit a request for an extension to the authorities of his university, which will be analyzed and if approved, he must pay the amount calculated based on the extra time to be extended. The addition of content and/or objectives to the study program due to the student's interest will be treated similarly.
- Graduates of Cuban medical science universities, exceptionally, will be entitled to a one-time discount on the total tuition fee in the event that they request to continue their studies in any of the postgraduate courses provided for in this call and in the manner listed below:
- Most comprehensive graduate of the university up to fifty (50) percent;
- Most comprehensive graduate of the faculty up to thirty (30) percent;
- Graduate with a Gold Degree up to twenty (20) percent
The rest of the graduates of the Cuban UCMs have the right to opt for one of the following discounts:
- Specialties in medical sciences up to ten (10) percent;
- Masters and doctorates up to five (5) percent;
- Professional development activities up to ten (10) percent.
