INFORMATION OF INTEREST
• Comercializadora de Servicios Médicos Cubanos, S.A. (CSMC, S.A.) is the entity authorized to market academic health services in Cuba.
• This call is for self-financed studies in the different forms of postgraduate studies in health sciences.
• Postgraduate academic training in health for foreigners includes training in more than 50 medical specialties, 5 in dentistry, 4 in nursing and one in Health Psychology, as well as more than 40 master's and doctoral programs in health sciences.
• Professional development integrates a set of processes that enable university graduates to acquire and continuously improve basic and specialized knowledge and skills.
• Cuba has 13 medical science universities that offer the possibility of completing postgraduate professional training and development.
• These academic institutions are under the direction of the rector of Medical Sciences and have a categorized faculty, which gives them the right to issue university certification documents at any level.
• The teaching-assistance services have a limit of places for the training of specialists.
• In Cuba there is a National Accreditation System, through which the teaching scenarios are certified in order to guarantee the fulfillment of the activities described in the study programs.
• The study programs are unique for the entire country and their implementation is carried out equally for all students.
• The addition of content and objectives to the study program is allowed, after conciliation with the university authorities and the Cuban Medical Services Marketing Agency (CSMC) as a principle so that the degree can be approved where the candidate is going to practice.
• Professionals with previous studies in the requested specialty are allowed to validate the contents of the current study program in Cuba and therefore reduce the training time, as long as they present the relevant supporting documents and the university authorities so determine. This process entails an additional payment.
• Studies in Cuba are in Spanish. For non-Spanish-speaking students, we offer courses in this language at the Medical Sciences universities.
• The only forms of payment allowed are bank transfer and online payments through payment gateways.
• The prices of this call are expressed in US dollars (USD), being the reference currency, although bank transfers in USD are not allowed. You must pay the equivalent of the price expressed in an international currency such as euros, pounds sterling or Canadian dollars.
• Once the payment of the registration fee has been made, it is not refundable, regardless of the reason for cancellation of the studies.
• Failure to make payments on the scheduled dates will result in the non-continuity of studies, which may lead to the cancellation of the contract if this is an unjustified and repeated event. Any damage caused to their training by this situation is the full responsibility of the student.
• Payment is made for years of study, so the removal of content due to validation or a proficiency exam, or due to the advance or reduction of study times as set out in the postgraduate regulations, does not imply refunds of the amount paid.
