The humanitarian training of Cuban professionals and the fact that addiction is not a health problem in Cuba are factors that contribute significantly to the high effectiveness of Cuban treatment, since it will be very difficult during treatment to have contact with any type of drug.
The International Therapeutic Scientific Complex for the treatment of drug addiction and alcohol dependence, located in the province of Holguín, consists of three tourist towns called: El Cocal, El Quinqué and El Colibrí whose geographic location allows the possibility of carrying out the detoxification and rehabilitation of people suffering from drug addiction, a disease that threatens physical, intellectual and social integrity.
In a natural environment, treatment is provided with the participation of a specialized multidisciplinary medical team.
The patient is accommodated in a private room with his family member (the first 15 days) with all the comfort of a tourist facility (air conditioning, hot and cold water, telephone, satellite TV etc. Everything necessary for a pleasant rest.
